About Me
Sherlene Campos is a New York City based actress. She was born in Washington Heights, and then moved to the Bronx at the age of 8.
Sherlene's love for acting began in high school, unexpectedly! She attended Bronx Theatre High School, where it was required to take theatre production classes. Her first debut on stage was in a rendition of an African play named Ti-Jean and His Brothers in her junior year. Sherlene played the Devil and also the Goat. As the audience roared with laughter and applause, Sherlene realized that acting was her passion and the best way to connect her to the human experience.
Still an emerging artist, Sherlene has worked in a few productions with other emerging artists. Her first off-off Broadway play, which she considers her REAL acting debut was in a play named Latin Lives, written by a Lehman college alumni. Most of Sherlene's work is on the stage, but she has also acted in a few episodes of a web series and in some short films.
Sherlene is unrepresented at the moment, but is always on the search for the next project, even if she has to be her own representation. Sherlene wants to prove that even a little Latina girl from the Bronx can make her dreams come true!
